GE HealthCare has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of a seasoned healthcare executive to its board, reinforcing its focus on innovation, growth, and advancing medical technology solutions in a rapidly evolving global healthcare landscape.
GE HealthCare has announced the appointment of Kevin Lobo to its board of directors, effective March 13. Lobo, chair and CEO of Stryker, brings over 25 years of experience in medtech, operations, and financial leadership, along with strong clinical expertise and global business scaling capabilities.
“Kevin is a seasoned healthcare executive with a deep understanding of the medical technology landscape,” said H. Lawrence Culp Jr.. “His knowledge and insight will strengthen our Board as we build a more personalized, connected, and sustainable future for healthcare, supporting our continued focus on innovation, growth, and delivering impactful patient outcomes globally.”
Lobo became CEO of Stryker in October 2012, having previously held leadership roles within its Orthopedics Group and Neurotechnology and Spine Group. His earlier career includes positions at Johnson & Johnson, as well as experience at Rhône-Poulenc, building a strong foundation in healthcare and pharmaceutical operations across global markets.
Earlier in his career, Lobo held finance roles of increasing responsibility at KPMG, Unilever, and Kraft Canada. “GE HealthCare plays a critical role in shaping healthcare through advanced technology and global reach,” Lobo said, adding he looks forward to contributing to its growth strategy.
