Deepak Nath

Deepak Nath has been serving as Chief Executive Officer of Smith & Nephew plc since April 2022. An accomplished healthcare executive, Deepak brings global leadership and risk-management expertise, with a proven record of driving growth, improving execution, and fostering a results-focused culture. Prior to Smith & Nephew, he held leadership roles at Siemens Healthineers, Abbott Laboratories, Amgen, and McKinsey, and began his career as a computational physics scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Deepak holds a BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Theoretical Mechanics from the University of California, Berkeley. He also serves as a director at MDIC and AdvaMed.
